Chief Clinical Officer (CCO)
Job Summary:
The Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for the oversight, management, development, and provision of all clinical services and clinical functions of ZOE Holding Company’s (“Zoe”) home health agencies, which are located in Arizona, Colorado and Texas.  While the position will be based in Arizona, the Chief Clinical Officer will be required to travel to Colorado and Texas.
The CCO ensures that all clinical services are provided in accordance with all regulatory, statutory, and accreditation requirements at the federal, state, and local levels that govern healthcare providers and home health agencies.  Reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Zoe’s home health agencies and Governing Body.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates clinical operations to ensure the consistent provision of quality care and services across all lines of service in each agency.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements key performance indicators to measure clinical performance, set goals, and implement improvement plans.
  • Oversees training and ongoing development to ensure clinicians have the necessary capabilities to support the company’s mission, vision, and values and provide quality care.
  • Ability to communicate [interact] effectively with the Governing Body, COO, legal team, administrators and agency clinical departments.
  • Direct oversight of the Clinical Compliance and Clinical Education teams
  • Knowledgeable of all regulations required by OCR, CMS, CHAP, and state regulatory agencies that oversee healthcare providers and home health agencies.
  • Implements Governing Body directives.
  • Ensures that appropriate clinical policies are developed, standardized, and consistently implemented across all agencies.
  • Travels to each agency with appropriate frequency to ensure that the established standards of quality of care and service are consistently being met.
  • Ensures clinical staff has access to current clinical information and practices.
  • Directs and monitors organizational clinical performance improvement activities.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Clinical Education, ensures clinical staff development including, but not limited to, orientation, in-service education, continuing education and evaluation of clinical staff.
  • Identifies and develops new or modifies existing clinical programs that will appropriately benefit the organization.
  • Identifies threats, risks, and changes within the home healthcare industry and develops appropriate strategies and programs.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Governing Body and COO.
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of each home health agency.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Maintains current RN licensure in Arizona.
  • 5 years of prior home health experience preferred.
  • 7 years of prior executive leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an open, collaborative, and fast paced environment
